Description:
Commonly known as 'Crape-myrtle' or 'Lilac of the South'. It is in the nature an upright wide spreading, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub or small tree. It has long bloom period, exfoliating bark and superb fall color. Hochberg Export Ornamental Plants Ltd are propagating in excess of 30 different varieties. Many of them are patented. We focus on the more compact garden friendly varieties with repeat flowering, rich green, dark and black foliage and resistance to powdery mildew. It is so nice to walk in our top grafted stems of Lagerstroemia indica fields from May through our hot summer to the autumn, and enjoy the beautiful color of the flowers and foliage.
